Lead Laws - Legislation Across the Country

Directions:

Rollover a state for its Lead Free legislative status. Click the state for additional details.

On the National Front:

All states are compliant with the Federal Safe Drinking Water Act that requires lead content of 8% or less for plumbing fixtures, valves, fittings and pipe.

Some states have passed or are considering passing laws that lower this requirement, as represented on the map to the right. Although recent attempts to change the national standard have been unsuccessful, Congress may reconsider revising it in the future.

*The wetted surface of our Lead Free products contacted by consumable water contain less than one quarter of one percent (0.25%) of lead by weight.
