Watts Cease Manufacturing Schedule

The following schedule indicates the dates that Watts will cease manufacturing of affected standard products and when you can begin ordering Lead Free products.

Please note: We will continue supplying Standard Products from our inventory per the above schedule. Based on historical demand we anticipate 2 to 3 months of product availability beyond the cease manufacturing dates. Any standard inventory left will be available for sale until December 1, 2013 or while supplies last.

In preparation for the Lead Free transition we have developed a list of in-scope products from the brands of Ames Fire & Waterworks, Dormont, FEBCO, Powers, Orion, Savard, and Watts. In-scope products include:

Select ACV's, Backflow Prevention Assemblies, Tempering Valves, as well as Relief Valve and Hose Thread products will continue to be offered in Standard materials for applications not in scope for the new Lead Free legislation.

Lead Free Grouping

Lead Free	This is a "Lead Free" product that complies with the 2014 National Lead Free Law and is suitable for use in potable water applications.	Products that are designed to be Lead Free and compliant with the 2014 National Lead Free Law.	1/2" SS007M3QT (EDP# 0062695)
StdPrd-InScope	This is a "Standard" product that is in-scope for the 2014 National Lead Free Law. This product is NOT Lead Free compliant and is NOT suitable for use in potable water applications. We will offer a new Lead Free equivalent model of this product.	A product that is used in an in-scope potable water application and requires a Lead Free model replacement.	We are ceasing production on our 1/2" MMV-UT-M1(EDP # 0206003) and replacing it with our 1/2" LFMMV-M1-UT(EDP # 0559116).
No LF Equiv	This product is not designed for use in potable water applications and is out-of-scope for the 2014 National Lead Free Law. We will not be offering a Lead Free equivalent.	Products that are generally non-compliant with the 0.25% Lead Free requirement, but are not intended or anticipated to be used in an in-scope potable water application.	3/4" IPFM1-S(EDP # 0068095)
Dual Inv	This product is NOT suitable for use in potable water applications but is suitable for non-potable water applications. Watts will also offer a Lead Free version of this product for use in potable water applications.	Products that are "Standard" products that have both in-scope and out-of-scope applications.	We are offering a 1 1/2" 009M2-QT(EDP # 0062921) in "Standard" material for non-potable applications like irrigation. We will also offer a 1 1/2" LF009M2-QT(EDP # 0391006) in Lead Free material for potable applications.
Discontinued	This product is NOT suitable for use in potable water applications and will no longer be sold after Jan. 4, 2014. No Lead Free equivalent will be available.	"Standard" products that will be phased out during the Lead Free transition.	1/2" 150APL (EDP # 0269504)
StdPrd-FEA	This is a "Standard" product that is NOT suitable for use in potable water applications. We will be eliminating this product and replacing it with a "Functional Equivalent" product that complies with the 2014 National Lead Free Law.	Products that are in-scope, but a 100% replacement is not available. A functional equivalent that is Lead Free has been identified and is offered.	We are ceasing production on our 3/4" LFN55BU-M1(EDP # 007712) and offering the "Functional Equivalent" product 3/4" LFX65BU(EDP# 0009949) in its place.

We have a No Return Policy on affected Standard Products.

Our list prices are available at http://www.wattswater.com/dataExchange. Due to the increased cost of base raw materials and added cost of processing, in most cases Lead Free products will carry a modest price premium over comparable Standard Products.
